Abenex and Galiena Capital sell the SET Environnement Group in a secondary LBO

Eric Vallée and his management team, accompanied by Sofival, take over the SET Environnement Group. Founded in 1986, SET Environnement specialises in asbestos removal work (or work in the presence of asbestos), as well as the removal of other polluting substances, from tertiary and industrial buildings, particularly occupied sites.

When Abenex and Galiéna completed their acquisition at the beginning of 2014, accompanied by A Plus Finance for the mezzanine debt, Eric Vallée took over as Chairman of the Group, already ensuring the managerial transition. The Group was then structured with the creation of a subsidiary, GET Maintenance, specialising in asbestos work, and in 2016 acquired the Lyon-based company A.F.C, a significant regional player in HVAC engineering, giving the Group geographical and sector diversification. Together SET, GET and AFC have developed commercial synergies in the Lyon region, enabling, among other things, the creation of an asbestos removal activity platform in Lyon.

The Group has a turnover of around €24M and employs 160 people.
