As a long-term investor, sustainability has been part of Abenex’s DNA since its inception, demonstrated through promoting the environmental and social performance of the companies it supports and its real estate assets.
Abenex is a purpose-driven company, and obtained the B Corp certification in 2022, confirming its long-term commitment to sustainable development and its contribution to the positive impact business movement. In addition, Abenex has committed to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), aligning its climate strategy with the Paris Agreement.

Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation
SFDR ComplianceAbenex complies with the articles 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the SFDR (Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation). Our funds, Abenex Small-Cap I, Abenex V, and Abenex VI, have been classified under Article 8 of the SFDR, promoting ESG performance criteria.
Science Based Targets initiative
SBTi TargetsAbenex is taking a proactive step towards decarbonization by defining and validating our objectives through the SBTi (Science Based Targets initiative).
Socially Responsible Investment
ISR Label Abenex Value I FundAbenex Value I Fund has obtained the ISR (Socially Responsible Investment) label. Abenex integrates ESG criteria in its investment policy, better managing its assets, and improving their environmental and energy performance.

Before investing
For its small-cap and mid-cap Funds, Abenex targets companies aligned with three objectives: elevating quality of life, safeguarding beings and property, and augmenting knowledge & resources. For our industrial Fund, we target manufacturing companies aiming at reducing their carbon emissions.
We take into account socially responsible investment criteria in our analysis of each opportunity. Our evaluation covers current and future ESG issues specific to each investment opportunity, as well as potential value creation levers through the implementation of proactive responsible actions. We believe that companies operating along these verticals have the potential to generate positive impacts for the future of society and the economy.

Throughout our ownership period, we collaborate with the management teams of our portfolio companies to ensure tangible results and the effective implementation of sustainable development initiatives, particularly relating to climate and biodiversity action.
