Abenex acquires a stake in Europa Group, the European leader in congress organisation, to support its development

Abenex announces its acquisition of a stake in Europa Group alongside the founders Florence and Marc Doncieux and will support them in a new stage of growth. As a key player in the organisation of scientific congresses and a coordinator of scientific communities, Europa Group has been growing steadily for many years. The group organises events on all five continents and in 2009 opened a subsidiary in Singapore to develop its offer to Asian institutions and learned societies. Europa Group also carries out external growth operations to acquire new skills. For example, in December 2016, the group acquired Insight Outside, a leader in the organisation of university congresses. The operation allows a reorganisation of capital by ensuring the continuity of the team in place and the provision of substantial resources to carry out new external growth operations. Florence and Marc Doncieux retain the majority of the capital.
