Abenex strengthens its Mid-Cap investment team with the appointment of David Giroflier as Partner

David Giroflier joins Abenex as Partner within the Mid-Cap team, which now comprises 16 professionals across four offices in France (Paris, Lyon), Amsterdam and Milan. He brings nearly 20 years of experience in private equity and investment banking.

His career has spanned large-scale transactions across France and Europe. He will contribute to the deployment of the sixth-generation Fund, which has already completed two successful exits and made 11 investments in France, Italy and the Benelux.
David's arrival reinforces Abenex's capacity to identify and structure transactions in the Mid-Cap segment, particularly in financial services and technology—two sectors at the core of Abenex's strategy.
Prior to joining Abenex, David spent 14 years at Cinven, within the TMT and financial services sector teams as well as the France regional team. He was involved in numerous buyout transactions across Europe, including Finaxy, MásMóvil, Viridium, NewDay, Tractel and Visma, and served on the board of several of these portfolio companies.
Before Cinven, David worked in M&A at HSBC in Paris, across a range of sectors including industrials, aerospace and consumer goods. David holds a degree from HEC Paris.

Patrice Verrier and Olivier Moatti, Managing Partners, commented: "David Giroflier's arrival is fully aligned with our commitment to strengthen and accelerate the deployment of Abenex's Mid-Cap platform. His private equity experience on large-scale European transactions and his deep knowledge of the French market are key assets as we continue to build on our development."

David Giroflier, Partner, added: "Abenex has built a solid Mid-Cap platform, with a resolute operational approach alongside companies and a clear European ambition. It is in this growth dynamic that I want to contribute to the next chapter."
