Origin Seal announces the acquisition of Interseal

Origin Seal announces the acquisition of Interseal, a specialist in industrial sealing solutions, from Christophe Legrand and Jérôme Leriche, managers of the company for more than 20 years.

Founded in 1991, Interseal designs, manufactures and distributes seals with high-performance mechanical or chemical properties with many applications in different sectors (food, transport, chemicals, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, industrial services, etc…). The company, recognized for its significant technical know-how, acts as a maintenance and troubleshooting unit on behalf of a recurring and widespread industrial client base. Thanks to its differentiating business model and with the support of an efficient sales force, Interseal has demonstrated regular and sustained growth in recent years in France as well as internationally (in Belgium and Germany in particular). The company achieves a turnover of over 8 million euros. As part of the transaction, Mr. Legrand and Mr. Leriche will ensure an operational transition in order to allow the proper integration of Interseal within the Origin Seal Group.

This acquisition is the first add-on acquisition since Abenex became shareholder of Origin Seal Group in September 2022. This merger will consolidate Origin Seal’s strong market positions on the industrial seals market in France. The new entity should achieve a turnover of c. €40 million this year.

This acquisition is the result of a proactive acquisition growth strategy undertaken by Abenex to accelerate the expansion of the group. Other acquisition opportunities in France and Europe are currently being analysed.
