Abenex, a long-standing European private equity firm and B Corp certified, announces Julien Vagner’s appointment.
Julien Vagner joins Abenex as a Partner within the Small Cap team. He brings over 15 years of experience in private equity and M&A financing, complemented by 11 years of operational experience as Co-CEO of an SME, Groupe Reborn / MCC (Mehari Club Cassis), a specialist in the manufacturing and distribution of spare parts for classic vehicles, as well as the development of electric vehicles.
Since joining Groupe Reborn in 2014, he led two LBO transactions, drove strong revenue growth, international expansion, and a large-scale industrial and digital transformation.
Prior to this, Julien Vagner was a Partner at TCR Capital, where he co-managed with Christian Dorléac the France Transmission I fund dedicated to Small Cap buyout transactions in France. He previously spent seven years as Investment Director at 3i Group (in Nantes & Paris), where he completed numerous investment transactions. His background reflects deep Small Cap investment expertise combined with strong operational experience within high-performing companies.
